Climbing Cones & Rib Cage
Conical and robust wood structures were designed for CNC cut pressure treated plywood.
The rib cage was also designed to endure climbing. Each group of cones freely rotates on HDPE bushings.
Platform Swing
HDPE clad steel, suspended at eight points. The platform self-centers, while a chain below limits the range of motion.
Head, Jaw & Throat
Wooden structures were design in sections to integrate with a steel superstructure.
Blink’s tongue was skinned with HDPE and then finished with rubber to create an impact absorbing play surface.
The throat includes a small staircase to an upper play deck. A third, gated play deck onto of the snout can be selectively operated by the client.
Rollerslide Tail
In collaboration with slide contractor, we ensured appropriate slope, integration and structure for the wood tail and slide.
